What is the value of each vehicle imported for each minister of the 110 strong cabinet. What is the monthly rental allowance of each minister of the 110 strong cabinet. What is the monthly salary of each of the 100 advisors. What is the monthly cost of maintaining the Temple Trees.
So what is wrong with prividing the Army commander with a 40m worth vehicles when he was the prime target of LTTe? Tell us. What is wrong. If each good for nothing minister is costing R10m per month to maintain, what is the total cost of maintaing 110 minister per year??? What have they done for the country??? |

And the way GEn SF is showing his gratitude to GR shows he quality of life!! Just check the what the high rankers say abt the GEn SF..
You should not insult GR by comparing him with SF..
GR has never tried claim any credit for the war victory..
Has has always said it was a team effort and wlways praised the soldiers at the front line..
SF is the one who is going everywhere and says war was won only by him..
Acccording to SF, Navy and Airforce did nothing..
Even for the Army, according to SF the war was won only because of tactics..
Not because there were so many brave soldiers willing to sacrifice their lives for the motherland.. |

Idiot, this Merc was not a bullet proof vehicle..
He bought it for his wife to go shopping..
Just like the minister as you said..
Imagine if SF is like this when he is in the Army where you are supposed to be disceplined, what will he do if ever he becomes a Prseident.. |

Most people would identify the solutions to the plight of the working man readily with the left, in theory and with MR, in practice.

This is where Gen SF lost his reputation very BADLY! I too agree with it!
14. Media reports say that he has developed political ambitions of contesting the next Presidential elections against Rajapaksa. He has every right to do so as a Sri Lankan citizen. Unfortunately, his letter to Rajapaksa does not bring out any latent political acumen in him. They only bring out his huge ego and his pique. The message which comes out of the letter is: 'I am the super hero of the success against the LTTE. My role in the triumph has not been sufficiently recognised.' |

Debo,
Howvere his appoinment did make many to ponder to remain in the army or not in the higher ranks and time to come he amply proved it by treating his favourites ONLY! Gen Pannipitiya is one! In fact to tell you the truth he was not that popular in the army!
Well CEO's are not popular in any company. They will select a team who know that they can deliver. Even MR is not an exception he selects people that he wants to key positions. For example MR appointed Jayasundara as Treasary sec. who is sidelined on corruption charges earlier. I think it is a correct selection but for somebody it is wrong to select somebody who is charged with corruption.
So SF can select his team on his assesment. Nothing wrong with it.
just imagine are we to go back to a era like when Premadasa was ruling the country!
Well when Mahinda attends all opeing ceromnoies, do all the mulgala for all projects he also start showing going back to Premadasa era.
SF may loose this election and still MR may get elected.
But he has right for it. there is nothing wrong about it. |

A highly placed Tresury offical has told me with evidence that nearly [1/4 of the total national budget] is spent of President, ministers and advisors. I repeat, nearly 1/4 of the total national budget. Now with all that money, what have they done for the country? What have they acheived? Even Mervin Silva is costing R10m per month! Now it is for the SLFpers who have brain to decide. I have 39 family members and close relatives who have all voted for SLFP all along. But this time, we will all vote for SF.
This is the time of average people like you and me. This is our moment. This is time for big change.
Whole system must be changed to benefit all walks of people rather than keeping some people in power.
Country first. |
