TNA and UNP activists from Trinco pledge allegiance to the govt

Several TNA representatives to local government institutions and UNP activists from the Trincomalee District crossed over to the government after having talks with MP Basil Rajapaksa, sources confirmed.
The Trincomalee Mayor, Pradeshiya Sabha President, an Uchchaveli PS member, a Muttur PS member from TNA and a few UNP activists thus confirmed their allegiance to the government.

The meeting took place at the Trincomalee Mayor`s residence.

Nishantha Muthuhettigama commenting on the news that he has been removed from the organizer post of the SLFP told Ada Derana that by hook or crook he will be the party organizer for the Akmeemana. Further adding that he will take legal action against the party decision.

Nishantha claimed that the recently concluded election was the most corrupt in the history of Sri Lankan polls at which 50,000 of his preferential votes were stolen from him.

	Pharoah Anna Thamizh mozhi innum padikkireengala? Had to postpone for a while! Will resume shortly. :) Jeeze! I'm a long way off from Poetry! main objective is to read daily papers etc. When i get to that stage I'll certainly check out the Trinco poets. :))
