Lankan News Replies

The Tamil Tigers say that 250,000 civilians in the conflict zone in north-eastern Sri Lanka want to stay to be protected by the rebels.

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa had appealed to the rebels to allow the civilians to leave. But his government also ruled out a ceasefire.

Rebel political chief B Nadesan said the people did not wish to end up in the hands of `their killers`.

Health officials and rights groups say hundreds of civilians have died.

To be protected by the rebels? Fine...I hope they are quite capable of protecting civilians even though some of their assets, land and leaders have perished.

NB:if there is any death or injury, it is now LTTP failing to protect the civilians.

Let the civilians speak for themselves!

What the Tigers are actually saying is that the 250,000 civilians are wanted by the tigers to stay to be used as shields for their safety and also to be shot and killed by them in the event the civilians try to escape.

Rebel political chief B Nadesan said the people did not wish to end up in the hands of 'their killers'.

The people are already in the clutches of killers, butchers terrorists and lunatics!

Nadesan utters all this crap using these civilians as the shields to cover himself from the bullets of the forces.

We should try to imagine what is really happening to these poor civilians.
The majority of them are not necessarily aware of what is really going on. No Internet, only Tiger news. For years they were told that the army is the devil and it is no surprise to me that they are reluctant to move to a safe zone controlled by, what they still believe, is the devil. Velus Fan Club must be using this what I would call competitive advantage. The solution is certainly not the one suggested by Eltham earlier, which I find well below sea level to remain polite.

If this is indeed true, the LTTE has the responsibility for these civilians including our brother in law.

That includes LTTE rectum-lickers such as you who have brought nothing but missery into the lives of these innocent civilians by proping up the survival of the LTTE.

You good for nothing self centred lampoons enjoy life in countries such as Australia reaping the benefits of the dole and the free medical care, while these innocent civilians have NOTHING!!

LTTE goons such as you have nurtured the LTTE terrorists at the expense of these civilians. Shame on you!
