Imperator there are no civilians there
Defence.lk put up a video of the flood. I may be wrong, but it certainly looked like there were houses and other civilian buildings there, including a clearly marked Co-op.
Do you have a link to an English site? Some guys on Facebook are talking about it but they're not giving any links either. And are you sure of the credibility of your sources? How do they know the exact number of casualties? |

Of course there are building and villages etc, but the civilians were driven out long ago, anyway most of the buildings in our homeland are damaged from artillery fire or bombing, so doesn't matter, once the invaders are gone, we have more than enough funds to pour into our homeland to rebuild everything from scratch and better than before.
As for my source let me put it this way, if I go any higher up I would need to talk directly to LTTE in vanni, so its as good as I can get here, but that said I have to rely on what they say. However the news is going everyone within Tamil circles, no smoke without fire I say, but time will tell the exact details so until then lets wait.
At least I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt, unlike some people here who have had many BREAKING news items which they claim as gospel truth - but later it falls flat on its face :)

Remember 3 months ago I asked you to divest your investment in LTTE Pvt ltd and gave 6 months for the finishing touches.... Even with todays news nothing has altered....

Well maybe this story has more credibility than the one about the 3-man MiG, but seeing the video of the flooding, I find it hard to believe that so many thousands of soldiers could have been killed and injured. I guess we'll have more details by tomorrow. |
