A senior LTTE Sea Tiger identified as 'Thiru' was killed during a confrontation with the army in Chundikulam at Mullaitivu - Defence Ministry.

Troops had several confrontations with LTTE terrorists in general area Dharmapuram yesterday, 13 January, inflicting heavy damages to the enemy. In a subsequent search operation conducted troops have found three bodies of LTTE terrorists killed during the confrontation along with 3 T-56 riffles.
Meanwhile, three cadres manned on LTTE defence line in Dharmapuram area have surrendered themselves to the security forces, the military sources said.
