I have strong doubts on to see if they will survive or not.. the LTTE has a hard time feeding themselves.. but lets hope they will survive.. how many are actually POWs? |

Magha,
Gaja Lakshmi,
Did people Eddie Mabo represented get a separate state/country within Australia? Within the same context Edie Mabo contested, did he say the people whom he represented, in more wider perspective should not be part of Australia
It's an ongoing battle. Aborigines have their own flag. Eddie Mabo fought for Land rights which challenged the declaration that Australia was Terra Nullius
when Whites came.
Yes, there are parallels in substance with the Sri Lankan case.

Stupid Tamils especially the dis(s)pora's hard earned money through janitorial skills just went down the drain for the sole reason that the causes of Peelam are absolute myths!
But they are too stupid to understand that!
BTW how are you doing? Hope everything is OK |

Gaja Lakshmi,
'terra nulliius' applies to uncultivated land by John Locke s theory. However the cultivation is not the whole mode of survival in modern society ,and when it comes to mechanization , the land owner ship any way becomes exploitation of man by man in broader perspectives.
A land owner of a traditional land according to 'terra nullius' ,will still able to exploit the same community in the capitalist mode of production . That is not granting liberation for people exploited, but another form of exploitation under the umbrella of ethnic rights . It deprives the individual rights. |
