Separately, jets have raided LTTE vehicles carrying two heavy artillery guns in general area Chundikulam around 4.00PM. SLAF fighter jets immediately launched air sorties once observed LTTE vehicle movement caring artillery guns from Chundikulam towards Chalai. Two LTTE artillery guns were completely destroyed due to the attack, air force spokesperson confirmed.

There are many on this forum truly believing that the LTTE are going to be finished off for good. They are living in a dream world. Knowing the LTTE's tenacity, conviction and dedication many have already predicted that it would go on forever fighting as a guerrilla force.
What is happening in places like Afghanistan, Iraq and many other trouble spots around the world are examples of what a guerrilla force can do to survive and fight for many many years.
India and the Pakis may be able to help you to fight the LTTE but look at how well they are doing in their own countries against domestic insurgencies. A few guerrillas with a small amount of arms can wreck havoc in the country and that is likely to happen if the LTTE is defeated as a conventional force. |
