It is called sakOthara paddukollai.

Yarlan,

You are the one who is doing Sakothara padukolai by supporting the same people who are killing our people every day in their own homes and villages.

You had even badmouthed the people of Tamil Nadu who is raising voice for us. They are the only one concerned about their Tamil brethren now, and you wanted them to stop. That's why you insulted them. I think you are doing all this to please the Sinhalese. Otherwise, you won't get an invitation for the Pongal celebration from the Sri Lankan ambassador eh! :))

We all Tamils know, what kinds of Tamils get invitation from the Sinhala ambassadors. The Eelam Tamils decided not to celebrate Pongal while the Sinhalese killing our people, but you are going to celebrate Pongal with them. And you have the nerve to talk about 'Sakothara padukolai'.

Some of the hard core LTTE tamils in the LNP can not even talk Tamil.

Another broken record shows up (from Canada!) while preaching about Sinhala only states :):):)

Hey AnuDUD, you are earning the DUD addition again, I didn't use it on you for a while, so if I am not black I shouldn't care about slavery? If you are not a woman forget about womens rights? etc etc?

The TRUTH cannot be changed, one can support the TRUTH no matter who you are.

The TRUTH is that Sinhala tribals are greedy thieves out to steal the whole island for themselves, and the only way Tamils can prevent it is by freeing themselves from under the rule of false owners of the island planted by the British.

So one doesn't have to read and write Tamil to understand the TRUTH of the cause. We are not mahacrappa brainwashed idiots like some of your tribals to have our leaders think for us, we are more than capable of thinking for ourselves.

Country will be lawless if executive acts its own, says Chief Justice

says the war criminal CJ who is responsible for locking up more than 28,000 Tamil boys and girls in the jail which only holds 8500 inmates, without any charges upto date ...the only crime they committed is born as a north and east tamil...

see the report of Manfred Nowark the UN special rapporteur on torture and illegal detention.

quote from the report

The Special Rapporteur also highlighted the problem of overcrowded prisons, one of the main reasons for which is the
high number of pre-trial detainees in the prisons than actual convicted prisoners. There are some 28,000 people being
held in prisons that have the capacity to hold 8,200.

Torture widely practiced in Sri Lanka, says UN human rights expert
29 October 2007 An independent United Nations human rights expert said today that although Sri Lanka has measures
in place to prevent torture, the brutal practice is widespread and prone to become routine in the context of
counter-terrorism operations.

The high number of indictments for torture filed by the Attorney General s Office, the number of successful
fundamental rights cases decided by the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, as well as the high number of complaints
that the National Human Rights Commission continues to receive on an almost daily basis indicates that torture
is widely practiced in Sri Lanka, Manfred Nowak told the General Assembly committee dealing with social,
humanitarian and cultural issues, known as the Third Committee.

This practice is prone to become routine in the context of counter-terrorism operations, Mr. Nowak, the UN Special
Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, added.

Mr. Nowak said that during the course of his visit to the country from 1 to 8 October, he received numerous
consistent and credible allegations from detainees who reported that they were ill-treated by the police to extract
confessions, or to obtain information in relation to other criminal offences. Similar allegations were received with
respect to the army.

In an effort to criminalize torture and bring perpetrators to justice, the Government enacted the 1994 Torture Act.
While the significant number of indictments filed under the Act was encouraging, Mr. Nowak decried the fact that only

three people have so far been convicted.

Given the high standards of proof applied by the Supreme Court in torture related cases, it is regrettable that the
facts established do not trigger more convictions by criminal courts, he stated.

While the Government does not agree that torture is widely practiced, I m convinced and I think I have enough
evidence for that, Mr. Nowak told reporters after his address to the committee.

He said he found overwhelming evidence that torture is routine at a detention facility run by the Terrorist
Investigation Department at Boossa, near Galle.

In addition, serious incidence of corporal punishment was discovered at Bogambara, the main prison in Kandy,
even though that practice was recently abolished by law. The Government has stated it will investigate those cases
and dismiss those responsible. In my opinion they should be dismissed and also brought to justice under Sri Lankan
criminal law, Mr. Nowak said.

The Special Rapporteur also highlighted the problem of overcrowded prisons, one of the main reasons for which is the
high number of pre-trial detainees in the prisons than actual convicted prisoners. There are some 28,000 people being
held in prisons that have the capacity to hold 8,200.

Mr. Nowak added that the most serious allegations of human rights violations, including torture, relate to the
ongoing conflict between the Government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). But he noted that he was not
in a position to speak about that since he was not able to visit detention facilities in army camps or those run by
the LTTE.

In addition to Sri Lanka, Mr. Nowak has visited Paraguay, Nigeria and Togo in the last year. He is scheduled to visit
Indonesia next month and Equatorial Guinea and Iraq early next year.

Chennaiyguuy parasite,

Just becasue someone is Stealing, it does not mean that you Steal too !

Is it not ?

Anyway you are no better than Karuna / Doggie !

I have not been involved with any of these 'fund collectors'. I don't need to make money on the side to support a lifestyle of the rich and famous. Parasites like you would never understand how the vast sums of money collected for the tsunami relief got actually spent. The lives of our people have been sacrificed for far too long to satisfy the 'Tamil nationalistic aspirations' for parasites like you who have nothing to lose.

Yarlan,

Obviously you didn't contribute any money to that fund. Then why are you worrying about other people money. Are you just badmouthing the fellow Tamils to please the Sinhalese again? :))
