The LTTE terrorists suffered damages in 08 different confrontations in PUDUKUDUIRRUPPU East area from 8.05am to 6.30pm yesterday (12). Troops recovered one body of a LTTE terrorist along with 02 LMG and 01 T-56 assault rifles during a search operation conducted subsequent to the confrontation at 6.30pm. Troops also suffered minor damages during the confrontations.

Troops captured a LTTE bunker line located in KERIDAMADU area around 10.15am yesterday (12). After bitter clashes in the same area around 3.10pm troops captured a LTTE Admin Base inflicting heavy damages on the terrorists.

And also Troops successfully captured a LTTE training camp with modified concrete bunkers located in KERIDAMADU area around 12.10pm yesterday (12).

The SL Army troops inflicted heavy damages to the LTTE terrorists in three separate confrontations in between 12.230pm and 5.45pm on the same day in KERIDAMADU. Troops recovered 01 radio communication set subsequent to the confrontation at 5.30pm. Troops suffered minor damages in the incidents.

SL Army troops inflicted damage on the LTTE terrorists during three different clashes in IYANPERUMAL area from 9.35am to 2.15pnm yesterday (12). Meanwhile in a confrontation in THONTHIKAL area around 12.20pm the LTTE terrorists suffered damages.

Meanwhile in MULLIYAWELI area around 10.45am yesterday troops suffered minor damages during a mortar launch by the LTTE. LTTE also suffered damages during the troop's retaliation.

The Supreme Court has given the government until January 27th to respond to an earlier ruling on reducing fuel prices to Rs. 100.


Await the 'Clash of the Titans'. The rule of law vs the rule of the jungle.


Govt having scant respect to the Judiciary. Will announce Praba or Multativu capture by January 27 to sidetrack the ruling.
