A song with a humorous take on the plight of Sri Lankan soldiers on the front lines who are forced into a racialist war of conquest due to economic hardships in their home villages.
The song`s lyrics speak of how this one soldier cries out to his mother about how he dreams of his foot being blown off by a land mine every time he closes his eyes, and how he is afraid for his life and why oh why is he here...

Kfir given that the LTTE has been on the defensive for the most part they don't have as much of a problem facing mine fields as do the SLA.
Anyway the song could be taken as the plight of anyone on the front lines from either side. the bottom line is it is totally unecessary if only the Sinhala state would stop being so greedy to steal our birthright.
KW are you joking or is it really? I don't know the source of the video :)

Please learn some Tamil or ask someone to translate it for you. The song is not shedding crocodile tears but making fun of the stupidity of Sinhalese who came to occupy our homeland. The song is hilarious, I wish I could translate it for you. :)))

HunchBack old bean, like I told my Tamil brothers and sisters, they can do all the introspection they wish to, but history shows us only one truth - that is for the Tamil people to survive we need to be free of Sinhala rule - there is no way around that truth.
For now the only path we have is through the LTTE. So called political, talks, democractic path, all are pie in the sky dreams when it comes to the Sinhala terror state, even several hundred years ago Robert Knox elucidated the duplicitous nature of the Sinhala rulers and their people, we Tamils need not even look so far back to know the truth in his findings. So when dealing with such a slimy enemy you can only respond in kind, they understand no other language and the LTTE speaks it well.
Talks and politics work between gentlemen, but if you are fighting goons in the gutter, time for you to pull your pants up and get in there yourself. This is what our idiot forefathers, sir this or that, missed, they were trying to deal with thugs as if they were gentlemen, trying the rule of law, trying to be fair - so going back there again is not the answer - been there done that - it failed. |
