Greetings Sri Lankans...How are we today...Hope all peace lovers are enjoying SLDF process in culling Eelam Tamil Terrorists. Thanks to a strong SL government with strong military commanders, we have shown all those who dwell on armed aggression against a legitimate government, that they were wrong. Only disunity among previous governments made Tamil Terrorist hoodwink Tamil Diaspora it's their way and their fake struggle is winning. But united Sri Lankan showed it otherwise and no room will be given to those who still have the desire to breed more Tamil Terrorism. This time SL Military strength and aggression will be maintained permanently to be used effectively as and when needed...:-)

i don't have the time nor the inclination to teach you what i know about mandates......the example you give is not a mandate: mandates are not based on referanda. mandates are granted as part of an elective process.

suffice it to say that a political mandate is authority from the people to carry out specific initiatives during a term of office.
for it to be a democracy, the term must be predetermined and free and fair elections must be held at the end of each term....this is a condition of democracy as we know it today.
