You have no clue about traditions... if I am going to visit Jaffna I am taking what is considered important to us. When you come to the south bring whatever you think is traditional. If I am going to China, what the point of taking Chinese Chillie paste to gift them...I take a good Ambul Thiyal... That is what you call a cultural exchange!
you stupid moronic Cow!
Krishnaan,
This Sinhala modaya has no capacity to understand what I am saying. For example, many companies are spending so much money to educate their employees about the other cultures, traditions and behaviors before sending them to India, Japan or China in trade missions. They don't want their employees to go to those countries and offend the people and ruin the purpose of their visit.
Similarly,This Sinhalaya brings his favorite Ruhunu mee kiri(also known as Thayir in Tamil) when he visits a Jaffna Tamil family in his first visit. After his visit, if someone died in the family, they might say that Sinhala racist Krishnaan brought a big bucket of Ruhunu mee kiri to their home, that was a bad sign and their father died next day. Will that family ever let Sinhala Krishnaan and his favorite Ruhunu meek kiri to their home ever again? :)))LOL
Let me give you another example, the Chinese consider dogs and snakes as delicacy and those are some of their favorite food, just like the Ruhunu meek kiri (man! this sounds sooo funny) is your favorite food. If that Chinese guy thinks he should take you a big piece OF dry dog meat to you because he thinks that is most important food for him. Will you eat the dry dog meat like you eat the Maldive fish? :)))LOL
The moral of the story is, you should do your home work to know the customs, traditions even superstitions of the people you are going to visit. It is very bad to offend the people when you are a guest at their home. Cappiche Sinhala modaya? :)) LOL

how is the real situation in Chennai in terms of elections and violence
This Election was infact a Diversionary tactic by Delhi to make TN leaders exhaust their battle to local election & not for Eelam tamils..
DMK which support Eelam tamils have won with good margin & it is time to again Pressurize Delhi for a honorable, peaceful & dignified solution for eelam tamils... |

Three thousand Sri Lankan soldiers were killed fighting the Liberation Tigers in the past three months, the Sunday Island newspaper reported this week, quoting government Defence spokesman and Minister Keheliya Rambukwella. He was responding to opposition charges that 15,000 troops had been killed in the battles since October last year.
Asked about opposition claims of heavy SLA casualties in the heavy fighting in the Vanni, Rambukwella told the Sunday Island, that the figure of 15,000 soldiers dead was exaggerated and not correct. 'According to our estimates, around 3,000 soldiers have been killed in action since October 2008.'
Does he say MIA / WIA here ?
