BREAKING NEWS (PROPAGANDA),
[COLOMBO, SinhalaNet 2009.01.11 06:29AM] According to unconfirmed sources, Pottu Amman, LTTE intelligence wing leader and second in LTTE military wing after leader Velupillai Prabhakaran, has surrendered to the Government of Sri Lanka on Friday (Jan 09).
The surrender has taken place in an undisclosed location when the LTTE veteran handed himself over to a Sri Lanka Army (SLA) Special Forces unit. Pottu Amman has been taken into Special Forces custody and is held in an undisclosed location, where he is being interrogated by SLA.
Pottu Amman joined the LTTE in 1981 and was in charge of planning and the brain behind the most of LTTE's covert and terrorist activities. ] |

Poddu Amman is under MI for the last few days...decideing his fate will change the drama completely.
India will for there part but Sri Lanka has there story....can be a burning issue... if not hold them until everything is over. |

I don't think this is a breaking news as they were crying for this from last year. I don't think Inida wants another war in South as they already have in North. India being carefull not to upsetwith Sri Lanka and o not want us to turned to Pakistan.

THE 53 DIVISION TROOPS, continuing their advance towards the east after ELEPHANT PASS capture, attacked the next LTTE stronghold, KEVIL, on their way and captured the area this afternoon (11).
Troops are now conducting clearing operations in and around the area removing mines and booby traps laid by the LTTE.
