Eh?...when did nadesan say this????
Hmm..this is in the Norwegian papers...and it quotes Nadesan saying 'Kilinochchi is an unimportant /insignificant setback!'. And he has said that LTTE will begin a new offensive and will take kili back into their hands !
Funny....why take it back if it's not important???? :D

Bassa,
Thanks for your optimistic outlook. Unfortunately, for people like Thivya, they want other Tamils to keep living in the past and suffer in eternity. Similarly, if the political will had been there on some of the recent Sinhala politicians (regardless of how LTTE would have reacted), we have had this problem sorted out at least ten years ago. Then, too many outside (foreign) interests got involved.
Did you read the articles I sent you in December? Any comments? Yes, Sri Lanka could have surpassed Singapore long time ago, if we had real Statesmen. That is why even the former Singapore premier said in an interview, that they wanted to avoid the ethnically divisive nature of governance Sri Lanka chose after Independence. The politicians (Sinhala and Tamil) used language and ethnicity to divide people.

Bakka/Daisy
solely relying on the support of our people,' and reiterated that
the Tigers were spearheading the Tamil struggle, which was based on legitimate political aspirations as defined by the democratic mandate in the elections of 1977. Nadesan, quoted in Tamilnut.
electoral mandates expire which is why there are elections every 4, 5, 0r 6 years usually.....the mandate that the tigers are operating under is over 30 years old! ......and they call that democratic.....how stupid can one get?? and as Daisy said, if killi is insignificant, why bother trying to recapture it....these guys just don't make any sense.... |
