It is good to see that Aani and Eeelamaya coming out with what they really feel about Eelam struggle.
I have hardly seen Aani as a supporter of LTTE but indirectly he endorsed what they did, just as a means of rising above Sinhalese, in other words for the inferiority complex that the Tamils in general are suffering from. As Sinhalese, we have a major and concious role to play in future to change this state of affairs.
I don't want to think that even Eelamaya with his nonsense eelam and Tamil superiority concepts, has supported LTTE on his own but may be due to peer pressure or LTTE threats. We should understand this reality. All these years sensible Tamils were made to appear lunatics by VP's terror network. It is essential that civilized world makes sure that VP and his barabrism is wiped out once and for all, so that not only Sinhalese but also Tamils are given a fair chance to negotiate and redress their grievences. LTTE with their utopian Eelam has blocked all possibilities for Tamils and Sinhalese to concentrate on real issues.
Our real problem is not an ethnic one but an economic one. Everytime I asked what problem do Tamils have in SL that Sinhalese don't have, none of the ardent terror-supporters could answer that for the simple reason that there is none of that sort. Sinhalese and Tamils face the same problems that stem from inadequate resources to go around and Tamils have been made to think by their cunning politicians that it is due to ethnicity. We need to se this reality and unite to fight our real enemies. |

If they have at least 10 rajini kanths to split the bullets and shoot, the outcome would have been totally different.

The peace dividends will find their way in to cash starved areas of education, technology and infrastructure. As for the nation building, social engineering tasks and addressing the socio-ethno issues will be carried out in a political realm acceptable to all in the absence of the LTTE savages.
I think that Lankans have quality ingredients for a recipe of success!

It is a little puzzling to see VP not reacting in any major way to the onslaught of the barbarian forces surrounding his last refuge in the Mullativu district. What I can say with certainty is that he is not going to surrender or take the coward's route and take his own life.
VP's genius is in the way his mind works. He is a man who plans everything meticulously in advance and there is a purpose in whatever he does.
He has withdrawn thousands of cadres from the Muhamalai, EP and the southern fronts into eastern Mullaitivu. I don't think anybody can predict how he is going to retrieve the situation but retrieve he will and I am sure of that. Time will tell. |
