| This I guess was one of the best tactical maneuvers done by the SLDF.. which took the LTTE by complete surprise.. surrounding Mulathivu with several fronts and cornering them was a a good move.. l |

When one party lost the war, naturally bargain power is also decreasing. That's why we all (even in this forum), insisted that the value of going for negotiations, than continue the war.
LTTE did number of miscalculations, and result is the place what they have now.
But, I am sure, moderate Sri Lankans and IC will push GOSL negotiate with Tamil leaders to settle for a lasting solution. I personally happy, if LTTE can survive to participate for these negotiations, at least with a different name. |

VP must be credited for not allowing his forces to use all the ferocious weapons, including WMDs... VP did this goodwill gesture, despite demands from some Tamils and diaspora to use them, to comply with international norms, UN, EU, etc... Thus, IC must acknowledge his good will act!
this sounds like ' plese IC, save our VPs sorryass , O. pleeeeeese! haha cuz our investment is going to go in to drains with him :((

Thambi,
i thought LTTE was finished and the game is over, we are going to see all the check points are going to be removed at least from colombo to to bottom....
thats what you thought.. but lucky for you they are still fighting.. what you have said was not practical, you think the SLDF will withdraw from the NE right after all the areas are captured? lol.. not a chance.. I dont think any body in here has claimed the LTTE was finished.. but well yes.. I think the leadership is on the verge of falling to the ground.. and you do know what happens when bigger trees are cut what will happen to the smaller trees that sorrounding the bigger tree:)) so have some patience. soon the main structure of the LTTE will be taken care of.. then you can save your diaspora money you send on a monthly basis and actually put it into good use:)) dont you agree? |

The GOSL never provided a fair solution to the tamils even before the ltte came along. Which is the exact thing that led to the conflict.
So what guarantee, that after this so-called fake, staged, military victory, that there will be a solution? |
