This is what sla says about yesterdays fighting at northern front/
In the meantime, confrontations continued in KILALY, PONNAR, MUNEIKADU and MUHAMALE areas in the JAFFNA district causing damages to LTTE terrorists, the same day (4). A few soldiers also sustained minor injuries. Terrorists directed mortar fire towards troop positions in KILALY and triggered some mines fearing that troops would enter their positions.
25 sla were killed and more than 100 injured when 55th division tried to advance in this areas yesterday/many sla mini camps in jaffna closed down and soldiers sent by poonereyn to bolster 58th division/attrition |
