Kiwi,
No other race is allowed into SPUR inner circles....You may be right and I dont want to dispute that...
I know some tamils were helping out at the last SPUR event, and I know of at least one tamil that has been involved with the SPUR inner circle. |

| I am glad that I am here before the racist elements bombard me with radical views that push me to the edge. I find it hilarious when some poor Tamil or Singhalese who tries to be neutral is bashed into submission by some so called senior members. They soon start taking sides. |

Who is allowed? May be this guy is close to a SPUR member or I may be incorrect with my memory of the name. |

Since there is no hope for peace talks, Govt must ban LTTE right away and start prosecuting all who are affiliated with LTTE including TNA MPs.
Other option is to allow them to surrender and offer pardon.

Sintamus,
Difficult to believe someone born abroad has got extreme political views against the minorities. The phrase 'kalu-sudhu' is mainly spoken by disappointed Sinhalese migrants abroad.
AB is strongly influenced by immediate gains. Hence his bias. He points the finger at Thivya who to me is like him in relation to racial attachment but Thivya expresses herself more intellectually - especially with other intellectuals. AB has much to do to rise to that level of intellectual expression. Hence AB is more dangerous.

Sintamus,
They behave like any other foreign children not knowing much about the Sinhala Only Act or de-citizenship of upcountry workers and hence they are not aware of the oppressive policies of the succussive Sri Lankan governments
Where parents have suffered due to racial divisions it is natural that children would carry that forward and hence would continue to fight at that level. Both are right - as per their respective heritages. |

I know many children born abroad to all communities (S, T and M, B) from Sri Lanka. They behave like any other foreign children not knowing much about the Sinhala Only Act or de-citizenship of upcountry workers
You should see some of the Muslims born in Western countries. They are well immersed in Palestine issues and attend protests and demos in London, etc. They make very big efforts for the Palestinian cause even though most are not of Palestinian origin. Its the Muslim identity for them
Tamils in western countries should have done more to get the attention of British MPs, etc through youth and educated people, some in their 30s doing very well, but the Tamil parents I noticed wanted their children to only speak English and be good Englishmen.

I find LNP pregnant with racism and lacks intellectual capacity of any kind. I rarely visit LNP simply because I do not grow as a Tamil. I am limited to defending my views. I am sometimes forced to defend my ethnicity and sometimes I have to prove that I am a Tamil but, not an LTTE member. This frustrates me based on the fact that this is what is happening in reality in SL.
I know a couple of people in this forum who also struggle to maintain their neutrality. I also know of atleast one member who started off neutral and is now a hardcore anti LTTE lobbyist. |
