How do we know that your idea of ' LTTE must be stopped' does not have an ulterior motive?...Maybe you want the LTTE stopped so that the entire Tamil populace can be wiped out. Maybe you really do view the LTTE as a Terrorist outfit and if so then your view will be respected by me.
Having said that my view is that the GOSL is an occupying Army and is not only worried about the LTTE but, wants to wipe out the entire Tamil Nation!...What do you say?...will you then respect my view? |

I agree with Aussieboy on being concerned about civilians and also not being a Kalu Suddha!!...I am an Australian Citizen too...But, I cannot help myself with my brethren in SL... I cannot help myself when SL plays cricket anywhere in the world.
However, I do not agree that the people are being held as Human Shields in the Wanni. That is Government Propoganda. Where was the Human Shield when the Military entered Kili?...Should shields be in front of the Tigers? |

No one thinks great of you because you call yourself an australian tamil!
Many have expressed appreciation for describing myself as Australian Tamil. This has now spread to others who call themselves German Tamils, Canadian Tamils etc. This is possible because Tamil race is greater than a country. It's healthy becausde it moves us towards international solutions

I have no problem with tamils. I'm friends with many tamils and respect tamils as sri lankans. The LTTE are cancer on the tamil race, and are a parasite to sri lanka. They need to be wiped out, so that ALL sri lankans can prosper.

No way. What have you been smoking??? How can you say taht the GoSL is trying to wipe out the tamil race when the majority of tamils live outside of the LTTE controlled areas? Did you see the pictures from the 'future minds' event in Jaffna? did it look like genocide??? and what abotu tamils in the east, in colombo, and all around the country?? They live with the other communities in Sri Lanka, without issues. stop believing the rubbish that the LTTE and it's supporters are trying to feed you. |

you talk about attitudes within the SL border. You are in Melb and you should go to one of the SPUR gatherings...you will understand how Tamils in Australia are viewed...You will also understand how the singhalese are viewed...We have sadly brought our attitudes with us when we migrated... |

Go to Sri Lanka, live in the most challenging areas of east and colombo as well as North - and then express your feelings. Until then a genuine contributor would be limited to intellectual discussions and not expressions of imagination - like AndyLau saying yesterday - that I was a CIMA graduate who cheated my way through the course and cheated the University of NSW. To the extent he could be proven wrong - his statments about this war and Tamils are wrong. Likewise AB's |
