Prabhakaran may be hiding in Mullaittivu: Sri Lanka Army chief

Elusive LTTE supremo V. Prabhakaran, who received a massive blow after the fall of the rebels` political headquarters Kilinochchi, may be hiding in the key Tiger bastion of Mullaittivu, Sri Lankan Army chief Sarath Fonseka has said.
Prabhakaran, 54, is likely hiding in the coastal town of Mullaittivu, Fonseka said on Friday as the Sri Lankan Army attacked the area around the suspected hideout of the LTTE leader.
The Army chief also said the LTTE was now confined to an area of 40 km in the embattled north of the island.
Fonseka had earlier said the Army`s aim was to capture Prabhakaran, believed to be holed up in a bunker, alive.
The Sri Lankan Army chief survived an LTTE suicide attack in 2006 outside his office and underwent treatment abroad after suffering serious injuries.
Last year, the Army added the specialised Task Force-2 to supplement the four divisions that were engaged in attacking Mullaittivu, the headquarter of sea Tigers.
According to a newspaper report, Prabhakaran lives in a sprawling air-conditioned bunker complex, located 30 feet below the ground, and comes up to the surface only in the night to avoid detection.
Prabhakaran`s `extravagant underground bunker is constructed as per his instructions and equipped with air-conditioning and power generators,` the Bottom Line had said in a recent report.
The LTTE chief`s bunker, divided into two sectors, has a tunnel which connects to a similar bunker complex, and the rebel leader`s room is tucked away in the lower-most floor having two exits, a sketch carried by the paper along with the report showed.
A typical day for Prabhakaran, who suffers from hypertension, begins at 5 am when he is served a cup of tea without sugar or milk and is briefed about the battlefront at 6.30 am, the paper had said quoting sources.
`From a powerful radio set, Prabhakaran gives instruction to his field commanders though he himself would not talk directly, and asks his confidant to do the talking. If he thinks that communications are not secure, he would insist on communicating through satellite phones at night,` it said.
Not in the best of health, Prabhakaran is attended to by three doctors. `His blood pressure is checked twice during the day,` the report said.
For lunch, his aide prepares food without salt which he `doesn`t like at all`, but is compelled to eat due to his health. `He has become a vegetarian because of his illness,` the report said, adding `he has light dinners mostly `kurakkan` (cereal grass whose seed yields somewhat bitter flour) and some gravy.`
The LTTE had subsequently denied that Prabhakaran was sick and claimed that he was healthy and having a normal diet.

If VP actually is about to be apprehended, before we could feed him pittu, thosey or masala wadey, VP might have his 'snack' of cyanide!

| Kiwikanga, hariyata hari. If MR manages to solve the problem...no matter even if he stays for ever. I really do not think the complete capture of the tamil held areas is a solution. They will have to deal with many many major issues with innocent tamils. Good luck Sri Lanka. |

Not only Tamils there will bee many many major issues have all the sri lankans,not only to a one race,there is Muslims burgers Malayan's, this every one have major issues my Friend,because thy have issues, you people want to brake the country to 5 pieces,get a life,who don't have problems in this world,we have to learn how to go through this problems and live with the problems.that is the human nature,not killing one side and solving there problems,that is not a solution, that is the VP ideologue.why we have to treat Tamils has a spacial,sri lanka is Sinhalese country,look others,like Malaysia,Indonesia,Singapore,India,80% of world country's thy have there national language,why Sri Lanka cant have that.because of 10 or 15% Tamils in Sri Lanka,we got to stand our own feet,yes we bend over to much to the world because of this f... war.

Nobody should give such reports as if he has seen them with his own eyes.
May be that this notorious terrorist has a lavish living complex donated by the Norwegian peace makers and exhorted monies from Tamils working abroad!
By now he may be leading another comfortable life in Norway or any other terrorist supporting country.
Till this butcher is taken dead or alive by our SLDF, nobody should dream about anything.... like prabakarume's 'eelam dream'! |

If the end of VP is near, I wish that his end comes from tamils rather than GOSL or Indian govt etc.I doubt he will bite his cyanide despite him forcing LTTErs to bite it as he is supremely selfish.
A history lesson from year 2050 will say that he was the ultimate traitor to the tamils. While climing to be liberating tamils he actually did the opposit.
He brought only misery to tamils.
He was the biggest killer of tamils.
He distroyed and sacrificed tamil kids and their education while giving worlds best to his kids
He took every freedom know to man from tamils.
He EVEN STOLE TSUNAMI MONEY from the tamils.
He hid behind innocent tamil kids and children during the war rather than protecting them.
The only thing he built were tamil graves and cemeteries.
Despite billions collected not a panadol or a grain of rice to tamils.
He condemned tamils to a stone age when rest of the world was surging ahead.
He single handedly rejected peace even when it was at his finger tips.
He considered tamil life sheeer dirt, asking them to sacrifice for his dreams.
Despite his relative illeteracy, how ever irrational, he made his word the law, and any one opposing this was made a traitor and eliminated.
He himself had many times said that tamils should suffer for the sake of the LTTE. No wonder they have suffered for 30 yrs.
