Tamils are now 3rd population in SL. Muslim population is higher than Tamils here. It is another victory given by the LTTE and the Diaspora by the struggle. |

I am referring to whoever advocate violence..instead I wish and hope tamils to form a platform with tamils intellectuals and negotiate with the legitimate state of SL to bring the tamils out from this mess...

out of all these troubles, the winners so far are the muslims and the uphill tamils....
both are nearly 16% of the total population( 8+8)....... |

I wonder whether anyone knows that it is compulsory for a certain rank and above of SLDF to learn tamil? There is an army camp up in the hills exclusively for this.
One good move, and I think it is Ok to make it compulsary for all state employees who work in areas where the majority speaks a different language to conduct the business communication with them in that language. At least then at Kurunduwatte the state employees will speak in English and in Jaffna they speak in sinhalese as similar as tamil state employees speak in sinhala in galle.
I know couple of tamil doctors who cannot speak a word in sinhala works in souther province hospitals.. and I don't see a difference the hardship the people are facing in jaffna with a sinhala doctor and a galle with a tamil doctor who refuse to learn the majoritie slanguage.
But that is not the main problem what LTTE and certain tamils raise, cause this issue been solved long time ago |
