I know that you are euphoric and triumphant of your victories over the invaded Tamils as projected by many Sinhala media and government sources! I am sure there will be a honeymoon period, and then one has to face the realities!
MR promised the IC including India that there will be a political solution endevoured through APRC, and now he needs to live up to this promise! Then again, we are talking about MR, who embraced violence as a method of silencing his critiques!
A word of warning! If Sri Lanka does not modernise their political system empowering and accommodating the minorities including the neglected Sinhala sections, they are in for a big shock! Unless MR becomes like Saddam Hussein, he will not be able to govern, and not to mention the LTTE and their post conventional war activities! |
