| The murder of Lasantha and the attacks on the opposition press show how intolerant this Rajapakse regime is. So far the sinhala people have stayed with Rajapakse because he was winning the war against the Tigers. Now he has turned his attention against his own people who are questioning his criminal and corrupt practices. He is collecting more and more enemies both in the North and the South that sooner rather than later he is going to get a sticky end. |

There were no attacks like what happened in 1983 to tamils in colombo despite so many provocations by tigers.
To me that was due to the Tigers.
so your question is based on hatred towards anandasangaree.
Why would I hate Anandasangaree? I don't even know much about the man - except that he lived in Killinochchi and that his third wife's family are Tiger supporters. |

Anandasangaree is one of the most discredited politicians among the Tamils. Even Douglas has more credibility. Bringing up Anandasangaree now is like beating the dead horse.
He DID NOTHING for the Sri Lankan Tamils, including his original constituency, during and after his term as an MP ended a long time ago.

anandasangaree may have less credit than even douglas Devananda, but he is the last remaining non violence form tamil politician in the country. sambandan and the rest of the TNA are tiger proxies, davananda has a militant army and so is karuna and pilliyan, DR. Neelan Thiruchelvam is dead and so is kumar ponnambalam. you failed to seem my point of view. I said a voice from the non violence form. we do not need violence in politics whether it is in the majority or the minority, like the JVP before. |

Dvladv....i think you have misunderstood me...i dont believe all tamils are tigers...but, i thought the singhalese believed that. I also went on to mention that we as Tamils also feel that we need the tigers to live with dignity. Thereefore my conclusion was that we could not blame the singhalese for thinking that way.
to stress my point a very good friend of mine from jaffna joined the army and lost his leg fighting LTTE. he doesnt consider himself a tiger but certainly a Tamil. |
