Thivya,
The following is for your benefit (my response to Bassa's question earlier). Pass it on to Thalaivar as well.
Bassa,
I totally agree with all that you say with one exception....i find it difficult to agree that velu should represnt the tamils.....he was not democratically elected to represent the tamils and it is very difficult to agree that he should be rewarded for all these years of death and destruction......
Whether we like it or not, we have to deal with the reality. When Mahinda Rajapakse addressed the Tamils in Jaffna last week, he was addressing the wrong audience. The 'real' force behind this war is Tamil Diaspora in the West. He would have been better off addressing the Tamils living overseas. It is mostly the refugees and the poor people living in the Jaffna Peninsular now. This is why, you can't completely ignore Prabhakaran. But, whether he (or his supporters) are up to this challenge, is a different matter. Prabhakaran had long ago told his cadres to shoot him dead if he ever veers off the goal of establishing Eelam. So, he is now a prisoner of his own making (and many Tamils in the Diaspora). But, even his top leutenants must be asking this question: how long can this go on before our people completely break down?
I am not quite sure how many Tamils in the Diaspora have a real grasp of the situation back home. Even if they do, they might prefer to be in denial.

Yarlan,
Instead of asking me why don't you ask your wife to give your suggestions to Nadesan. After all your wife is a close relative of Nadesan. :)))

Yarlan,
Becarefull its better you use LNP. don't come out and say these things. You will be tagged as a traitor and Killed. This happened to most Tamil leaders ho tried to save Tamils from Terrorists.
I dont want to comment on the names you mentioned above. You decide... |

| Hey, just saw a video in Alampil where there's apparently absolutely no Tsunami reconstruction although TRO and other NGO's raised and spent a ton of money ostensibly to do just that. Wonder why there is no outcry about that from our Peelamist friends... |

Lead by a psychopathic chief , the outfit has been trying to establish an ethnically pure Tamil state on the Sri Lankan soil.
As per the direct feedback from Northern Sri Lanka yesterday, the armed forces would have a difficult job managing the people - especially if they lack discipline and are trigger happy. The battle might have been won. The war is still on. |

That was in the past. You know quite well, that the clock has been re-set to pre-1995 era in terms of where LTTE stands today. Do you want to go back to square one and in the process, speed up the exodus of Tamils from the land their forefathers tilled and worked so hard to raise their families on?
