Velu's backfired miscalculations.
1. Killing Rajiv. - Achieved nothing and made India an enemy. Cut the hand that fed you.
2. Walked away from peace talks many times. - Power hunger left him with nothing. Insisted on ISGA and certain technicalities of agendas etc. Refused to talk about final settlement. Federal system would have been a real possibility.
3. Helped elect Mahinda Rajapaksha. - Well.. lets not talk about that stupid act. MR is a southern son. Looks like Velu hasnt studied Srilankan history.
4. Tried to kill Sarath Fonseka, Gotabaya - None was successful.
5. Mavilaru - Boy... what kinda stupid thing was that? That was the tip of the iceburg.
6. Targetting civilians in the south including buses, trains etc. - Failed to instigate racial riots. Instead, IC placed them on terrorist list.
7. Splitting with Karuna faction - Some argue this being the biggest blunder of all.
Yet, some of the hyena friends regard him as the greatest strategist ever. LMAO. |
