I was talking to Mr. Daya Hettiarachhi of SLUNA last night who happens to be my uncle. He said there are a lot of action happening at the immigration dept with the support of the border services and the Canadian Intelligence service.
None of the rats will get here.. even if they do they will be held at the status of refugee for an extended duration so that they will be dispatched back home when evidence of their terror links are revealed.
I think that is where the this Tamil Organisation comes in to help..

It is a beautiful thing !

The sensitivity to human pain and suffering is totally erased in the minds of many, but not all, SriLankans. It is so shameful to see how a certain group of people rejoice victory at this point with no regard to all the human beings who were affected due to this war. People forget to realize what it emotions involved in losing a loved one or being handicapped for life. We don't worry about it as long as we personally don't have to deal with it.
As a physician I have treated so many victims of trauma, not necessarily due to war, and the long term physical and psychiatric consequences are devastating. Many a days I come home after work and pray to God that not even my enemies should suffer such a fate.
What goes around will definitely come around. We may not pay for these sins or bloodshed but someday our children will.
