GAJA:
The Australian High Commissioner and his team also came to the village of Maangkerni. But I did not 'see' any result from those efforts.
Visiting and getting money and not spending are two different things.
YOu are not honest and because of your tribalist feelings you may try to win.
If you are honest and if you really love your kind, you would dig the truth and try to expose the culprits.
I don't think, you have the courage to do that. |

Ifthe Sri Lankan Tamils continue to leave in droves their birthplaces in the North, naturally, people from the South will move in. The population density in the South is pretty high with many who don't own a plot of land.
Yarlan,
The Eelam Tamils were never against the free movement of Sri Lankans from coast to coast. They were only against the state-sponsored colonialism. The Tamils think, the government shouldn't be in the business of social engineering, that's all.
If the Sinhalese can afford to buy land in Jaffna and if they really want to live in that arid land of Jaffna. They can buy and live there. I wish them well.
The Sinhalese didn't move into the North because their areas are more fertile than Jaffna but even the Tamils who were living in foreign countries also used to spend their hard earned money to build big houses in Jaffna. Why? Because that is our homeland, we have emotional attachment to that land.

Yarlan,
all are god. We just need to seek and find that god within and not recognize anything else. That is also what Jesus said in different language.
Oh my God! PAati, what did you drink last night?
For someone who seems to be desiring high position amongst Tamils of Sri Lanka, you seem to be ignorant of Yoga Swami's message which is our own Tamil translation of the core Hindu message - that soul is One. That is also the common feeling |

AnuD,
YOu are not honest and because of your tribalist feelings you may try to win.
I use feelings where I do not have facts through which to bring out the Truth to uphold justice as per my observations.
If you are honest and if you really love your kind, you would dig the truth and try to expose the culprits.
I don't do that to family and I would not do that to anyone with whom I share common values. To the extent I feel and I know that no one else deserves better - I don't need to calculate and 'show'. If you do so - I do not block your path. That was also Gandhi's non violent non cooperation.
I don't think, you have the courage to do that.
I have the courage to be with them in their times of need. That's why I go there - instead of to other places - within and outside Australia. |

Srilanka is for Sinhalese.
There is no specified areas for 6% of the population.
Tamils are a migrant ethnic group living in TN not in any part of the world. |

When I was working with the Tigers in Killinochi in 2003, there were many Sinhalese staying at the same lodge as I. The workers at the Killinochchi hospital and some at the health administration were also Sinhalese. The former helped me clean the Ganesh temple and said that they were going somewhere else to work - at the request of the Tigers.

AnuD,
JAffna is very primitive and in stone ages.
This is why they keep getting top marks in common exams - the reason why the quota system for Uni entrance was introduced by your government?
Education is our strongest link. If you udnerestimate our strength in that - you have already allowed yourself to be defeated. |
