This is why civilans should be allowed to leave the area!

LTTE forcibly holding civilians as a human shield by not allowing them freedom to choose with whom they want to stay!
The SLA requested all civilans to move out..

Yes that's true!

But... Do They Have a Choice?... STAY or DIE!

gain is reducing tamil population.

if that was ever the reason...we could've wiped out so many villages in whole with only a few days of bombardment...
besides... majority of tamils live in GOSL controlled areas... so no point in really 'reducing tamil population'

VP is doing a great job at it though...all the way from 10-12 year olds to young females, he's insuring that tamil population in those areas will keep on going further down...
damn shame eh!

If you believe that the tigers are stopping the civilans from leaving, then you should be happy that the SLAF is taking steps to wipe out the LTTE!

If you believe the civilans are there on their own accord, then you must agree that it's their fault for not leaving, especially after the SLAF gave prior notice to do so!

It's one of the two!

sinhalese cant do it govt controlled area as IC watching . but it is easy to do in ltte controlled area as govt can always reject the claim that civilians are being targeted saying that it is ltte propaganda.

The government s earlier piecemeal approach has given way to an integrated politicomilitary campaign based on a long-term, grand design. The armed forces now use small, highly mobile, deep penetration teams, which are but replicas of the LTTE s dreaded sabotage and assassination squads. The use of unconventional jungle paths has sprung surprises on Tiger defenders. To thin and wear out the enemy, the armed forces have kept a 200-kilometre coast-tocoast front constantly active, conducting offensives and probing missions, as jet bombers and helicopter gunships pound identified targets over a wide swathe of land. However, it will be a grave error to think that the LTTE is on the verge of annihilation.

these are the guys who are then complaining why SLDF can't take Killi down :) :) :)
civvies we requested to leave... enough time has been given and also leaflets have been dropped...
GOSL will have to attack LTTE formations in Killi and by doing this civilians to are at risk of getting hurt...
either civvies rebel against LPTE and move away from LPTE areas or LPTE have to let the civvies go...
One way or the other....Killi will be taken...
It's upto the people and LPTE to decide how much they are willing to sacrifice..
