2,300-year-old pot of paddy found in Lanka
Colombo, Sept. 30: A pot containing paddy grains believed to be from the 3rd century BC has been discovered from the archaeological site of Akurugoda at the soil layer that was 4.5 metres below the surface.
Foundations, walls, broad brick floors, pillar holes, hearths, pieces of earthen pots, and large earthenware were also found at this historical site. Ruins of a residential complex of noblemen were unearthed recently near this layer, according to a report. The ruins were excavated from a soil layer five meters below the surface close to Tissamaharamaya area.
An ancient hospital s ruins were also discovered close to this site, website LankaPage reported. Tissamahara-maya is believed to have been the capital of the Magama Kingdom in Ruhuna where the excavations are being conducted.
Excavations were conducted jointly by the Sri Lankan archaeological department and the Archaeological Institute of Germany, the website said. PTI |

WHY are THEY so different?
I think they pretend on alcohol,... I have seen Tamil guys drinking like there is no tomorrow,.. however, when it comes to women, they are simply incompetent,.... They lack of tactical approach, hence what they do is tactical withdrawal,...
But rarely there are a few who master the technique and get the girls, others master-bate.
They simply don't understand the fact that we got this life is for once and for all... Once we are dead, no one knows where will we be born,,, and it's not the same person either,... the guy/girl/animal or whatever I was in the previous life doesn't know if I was born or not ( at least)
So my philosophy is have fun while you are alive within certain limits (occasionally, (or whenever it's possible,) it's OK to jump over the fence as long as there is no murder in either side), and try to do something useful for the world at the same time,...
In contrary, what they do is, they suffer for some other moron's personal dream by the name of homeland.. and some try to elevate their blood pressure arguing here and some others blow themselves up for ultimate sacrifice,.... This is what I can't understand,... WHY ?
Also they want to show they are superior than the others,.. and bring all sorts of history lessons here,......
OK,.. You are superior to us,... So what ? Do you get two brains or two genitals being superior to us ?
Once someone gets Visa from the big boss on the top, he/she has to go no matter how big or small that person is,... till then make hay while sun shines,.... |

Anyway, like I have said many times, this is a 100 year war. VP had given full blessings to a TIC proposal to continue the war even after VP's leadership.
Sinhalese have nothing but frustration as the big war would also end in a loss to the Sinhala race! That would be four big losses in a row, since 1505! |

Apparently, some of the fleeing Tamils from the North, have reportedly told the Army that the LTTE aircraft that crashed last month, crashed on the premises of the Iranapalai Roman Catholic School (along the Puthukudiirippu-Iranapalai road, in the Mulaitivu District). And that their relatives and friends, have been eyewitnesses at the plane crash site. The first to have arrived at the crash site were civilians from the neighboring areas, who have seen 2 dead men inside the cockpit with 1 being a white Caucasian and the other a South Asian. The LTTE units have come and from them, the civilians have gathered that the white Caucasian was Ukrainian The LTTE had cordoned off the area and stopped the civilians from leaving the area.
The notion of the LTTE using 3rd party non-Tamil mercenaries to fly their missions have been in the rumor-mills for some time now, but it may turn out to be true. The evidence is starting to add up. Companies like AirScan Inc. employ highly-trained retired pilots from around the world, for example, to fly 'weapons-smuggling' planes into tight-security areas. For a price, these sorts of companies can be used to train or even execute the recent air-attacks by the LTTE The 'hidden' take-off and landing of the planes from short and covered runways, some of the 'expert' air maneuvers seen by persuading SLAF pilots and the night-flying capability with minimal-to-no equipment, can be explained with the use of the mercenaries |
