P.B. at TT meeting

Twenty-four hours after the Supreme Court issued notice on former Treasury Secretary P.B. Jayasundera to appear in court on October 8 to inform of the state offices held by him, Jayasundera was present yesterday at a high powered meeting at Temple Trees presided by President Mahinda Rajapakse.

The government export industry met at Temple Trees yesterday to discuss issues related to the Sri Lankan export sector, especially with the renewal of the GSP+ facility extended to the country by the European Union.

Several ministers and officials including International Trade Minister G.L. Pieris and representatives of the garment industry attended the meeting.

A Supreme Court Bench comprising Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva, Justices Shiranee Tilakawardane and N.G. Amaratunga was on Monday critical of the law enforcing authorities for their failure to take legal steps against Jayasundera in terms of the LMSL judgment.

The Court had said Jayasundara should not only have been suspended but also charged under criminal law.

The Supreme Court has summoned Jayasundera to appear on October 8 in person.

It is learnt he will resign from all posts he holds including Chairman, SriLankan Airlines before appearing in court.

Meanwhile, Deputy Finance Minister Ranjith Siyamabalapitiya told The Morning Leader, he does not know what posts Jayasundera holds.

I think she will take some time to get back to you... she's on the phone with her friend's uncle from France... That guy is the one who feeds her all these stories (sort of like a sugar-daddy, but with fairytales instead of money)! She needs to cross-check everything with him!

Thanks AB, that explains. That guy must be good in writing fairy tales though. He needs to start writing bed time stories to brainwash kids of these peelamists after they loose the war.

He can write about how HEROIC was Piripaharan and how brave the way he died! ( In reality he is hidden in a bunker and would be killed on when fleeing the war front).

Porki Anna is a generous person. When he heard about this news, tears flowed down his fat cheeks. Buckets of tears dropped with a fat thud on the floor. These 'Sinhalese Shoplifters' he thundered in rage!. Without any hesitation what-so-ever, Porki Anna took out his cheque book at wrote HKD 1 (out of his HKD 20,000 salary) worth of Eukanuba for refugees. Rest of the HKD 19,999 he sent for child maintenance in Mainland china.

Aaaah....such a generous decent person our Porki Anna....sigh sigh

Today the Sinhala police arrested an innocent Tamil youth in Colombo because he didnt had his 'police report' with him, he has left it at home. Still after that the relatives showed the report to the 'police' , they haven't release him.

This is the RACISM Tamils in Colombo suffer of every day.

Sri Lanka is the only where minorities are treated differently on racial basis.
