I stumbled upon this this contradicts everything
Loard Budda Is A Muslim
The Indian scholar Maulana Abul Kalam Azad proposed in a commentary on the Qur'an that Siddhartha Gautama is the prophet Dh 'l-Kifl referred to in Sura 21 and Sura 38 of the Qur'an together with the Biblical characters Ishmael, Idris (Enoch), and Elisha. Azad suggested that the Kifl in Dh 'l-Kifl (Ar: 'possessor of a double portion') is an Arabic pronunciation of Kapilavastu, where the Buddha spent his early life.17 Azad did not, however, provide direct historical evidence to support his speculation. According to other ancient Muslim scholars Dh 'l-Kifl was either a righteous man and not a prophet, or he was the prophet called Ezekiel in the Bible.
Mirza Tahir Ahmad, in his book Revelation, Rationality, Knowledge & Truth, argues that Buddha was indeed a prophet of God who preached Monotheism. He quotes from the inscriptions on Ashoka's stupas which mention 'Isa'na' which means God. He quotes, ''Thus spake Devanampiya Piyadasi: 'Wherefore from this very hour, I have caused religious discourses to be preached, I have appointed religious observances that mankind, having listened thereto, shall be brought to follow in the right path, and give glory to God* (Is'ana).'18

KURAL,
Ok let say it again, Buddhism born in a region which is now part of India !! Are you happy ???
This is not a case of making others happy, but about acknowledging an established fact. Anyway, I am 'happy' to accept it.
No way, Buddhism is not intact here. It have been perverted, tortured, criminalized and politized in Sri Lanka.
Not that I accept the above in the same tone, but I would like to know whether you hold the same criticism against the Dhamma writen in Tripitaka by Sinhala Buddhist monks at Alu Lena during the times of Sinhla king Watta Gamini Abaya. If you are of the view that Dhamma recoded in Tripitaka is corrpted, I would like to know your source of pure Dhamma.

Buddhism the best gift to the world from Sri Lanka
Ha ha haaa,
This is joke of the millanium by the GON HARAKA Ratnasiri.
I dont know on what basis he was claiming this.
And above all some members coming to defend this claim is more laughable.
In Myanmar Buddhist population is 89% (Theravadha)
In Thailand, it stands at 95% of the population. And they too have this Theravadha Buddhism.
So on what basis these ppl claim that Buddhism is their
'Ammagey Boodhalaya' :)))
NB.My intention is not to insult Buddhism. |

KURAL,
What an ignorant. Learn how Buddhism came to Sri Lanka ! Learn who preserved it before you c%%%s claim it as your exclusive property !!
Damn , some guys become so crazy when it comes to defend their own religion, this is called extremism !!
There is no extremism here, but your failure to understand simple facts.
When one says Sinhalese preserved Buddhism, it does not necessarily mean that individuals belonged to other races did absolutely nothing in that respect.
When one says Americans sent the first man to moon, that does not necessarily mean that every one worked in Apollo Mission are citizens of US by birth.

Mmmm.. You want to play with words, isnt it ?
When i said Buddhism born in India it was OBVIOUS that i meant a region that it is now part of India. Only Singlecells of your caliber need further explanations and details.
Anyway it was a pleasure.
Mucha,
You are good at twisting words. Trust me. This is what you wrote..
Sinhalese deserve the exclusive right to wear any credit for preserving Buddhism
Why the EXCLUSIVE right to wear any credit for preserving Buddhism ??
Do you think im stupid or not do understand what you write ??
Yeah keep on TWISTING.
When one says Sinhalese preserved Buddhism, it does not necessarily mean that individuals belonged to other races did absolutely nothing in that respect.
hahhaah, you are funny, and i love your jokes. Edited By - KURAL - 30 Sep 2008 01:16:07 GMT |
