Budharagitha and somarama for the examples of the Srilanka budhisiam
SHAN,
This may be a bitter pill for you to swallow. But do you know that Mapitigama Buddha Rakkhitha and another co-accused (Mrs. Wimala Jayawardane, if I am correct) became Christians while serving their prison sentences.
Amen!! |

No other nationality in the world pledged preserving Buddhism as their national agenda, but Sinhalese and thanks to their effort, Buddhism to date remained in tact on the surface of this planet. As a result, Sinhalese deserve the exclusive right to wear any credit for preserving Buddhism, and Sri Lanka being the country of Sinhalese deserve the same.
If you want to challenge this, please do not hesitate.
That is in essence Mucha
Yes. Buddhism the most powerful binding force in Sri Lankan civilisation.
Those who try to challenge this did not succeed for the last 2000 years. |

Mucha,
Are you kidding ???
Ok let say it again, Buddhism born in a region which is now part of India !! Are you happy ???
No way, Buddhism is not intact here. It have been perverted, tortured, criminalized and politized in Sri Lanka.
But i do accept that there are some TRUE Buddhists in Sri Lanka, i do not deny this fact !!
As a result, Sinhalese deserve the exclusive right to wear any credit for preserving Buddhism, and Sri Lanka being the country of Sinhalese deserve the same.
What an ignorant. Learn how Buddhism came to Sri Lanka ! Learn who preserved it before you c%%%s claim it as your exclusive property !!
Damn , some guys become so crazy when it comes to defend their own religion, this is called extremism !!

The europeans refered the south Asians as 'INDIANS' and yeah there was no india, but you have to acknowledge that bangaladesh and pakistan was part of india. So clearly, Srilanka is was and is not part of the Englishs' Indian map.
Ceylon was a different country and India was a different country. so clearly Budda was not from Srilanka and before sangamithai came to srilanka, Sinhalese were Hindus. |

It will change in next 100 years, thanks to our warrior VP! The ant thinks the flow from pee is a river. The Buddhizts in Zinhariztan think the world is their little dungeon! |

Hello Mucha
When I was writing to kural in fact I thought about you. Long life man. How are you?
I don't know neither of them. But I know what Sinhalese Buddhism is? I just made a comment re peacemaker.
Mapitigama Buddha Rakkhitha
Again I don't know about him. Is it worth knowing about him? I have my doubt.
