Buddhism is a good-kinded religion, but this is in BEGGAR's Lanka in very bad condition.
Buddhist Monk(ie)s are in Political only in BEGGAR's Lanka and mostly being like thugs.
Buddhist Monk(ie)s are being rapists Only in Beggar's Lanka.
Buddhist Monk(ie)s are being as thives only in Beggar's lanka.
Buddhist Monk(ie)s are being as Under-world gang only i Beggar's Lanka.
Buddhist Monk(ie)s are being as illegal arrack sellers(kashippu) only in Beggar's lanka.

100% True about sri lankan buddhism stated above...it is better to follow Mahayana and have women and Arack than calling they are truly Therawada buddhism...that is why christian missioneries have started to hammer lankan viharas in UK...recent hammering of Kingsbury Pansala

Buddhism was vanished from India merely 500yrs after Buddha's death.
Sinhala nation gave their lives , even their kings and kingdoms to save and propagate Buddhism. Buddhs knew this attribute of Sinhalese. He rightly proclaimed Buddhism will be saved by Sinhalese (Seehale as those days) and went on to say it will last 5000 yrs, so shall Sinhala Buddhist Civilization.
This is precisely why peelamists efforts in human flesh eating are futile. |

Those who oppose Sinhala Buddhists only proclaim their appetite for Human flesh eating as does Tamil terrorists.

Compare Siva lingam and those imaginary concuptual and never real hindu gods and rituals to Buddha Dhamma.
Buddha says Be a light unto yourself. Dont believe in persons, dont believe in ideologies. And when you dont believe in any ideology, and you dont believe in any person, a great trust explodes, a trust in existence itself in the trees, in the rocks, in the people, in the stars, rivers, mountains, in all that is. Of course, the buddhas are part of it, but you don't believe in the Buddha particularly. You simply believe in existence.

Who is a Buddha? Or what is buddhahood? The word 'buddha' means pure awareness, a state of absolute awareness. A Buddha is not a person but a state the ultimate state, the ultimate flowering. Wisdom !!
