Murali is not the Vital player in a T-20 match,
As a tamil sporting legend, he playing for chennai does magic for the crowds :))
And moreover his experience did help us in our matches . He did bowl some crucial overs to control the opposition.
bowlers are not imprtant in T-20's..
Hmm you might say , but you know we lost to rajasthan royals just because we missed a bowler . Balaji bowling the last over i knew 100 % we had no chance of winning :((
did Raina played for Chennai too?
yes suresh raina did play for us ... infact he played pretty well |

Berty/Semm,
Raina's drop of Yusuf Pathan off Murali cost Chennai the trophy. But I agree with you Berty that batsmen largely called the tune in the tourney except for a few exceptions like Tanvir, McGrath, Dinda, Maharoof etc. |

Berty,
I support Arjuna decision to ask the guys who are playing IPL to leave the tournament early.
let me explain..We all know from IPL the SLCB does not get any income at the same time the players who are involved in IPL are all contracted players and paid by the SL board.
The first preference should be playing for the official tours approved and supported by the board so that the board gets the income to pay for these contracted players
This is hastily arranged tour.
We always get minimum number of tour marches etc when touring. Early summer conditions also do not help us.
Why do we need to fit in to their requirement? We can tour late summer. |

Yes, Tanvir i thought was the find of the tournament but the guy i admired mostly was Shaun Marsh. he was Fanatstic..
The problem is X-factor, the bowlers get some wickets against the weaker sides but mostly will leak a lot of runs
to be very frank..Murali was a failure..I am beginning to think he will ever get a 4 wkts haul even in a 50 over match..he also gives more than 50 runs which he never used to those days..i suppose when you get older this is what happens. |

ICC gets part of the amount bid for each player and so does the home boards. This is unconfirmed. May be Semmozhi can shed more light on this.
As far as i know ICC does get the mullah , but BCCI has nothing to do with the home boards ..it has to be a arrangement between the home boards and the player of that board, if any |

Berty,
If the SLCB does not benefit then the player contracts need to be looked into. But I agree with you that Country should take precedence over personal benefits. |

May be Gota? Now he got the winds of Hague, he must go into hiding. He is very welcome in Tamil Eelam! He can bring his brother too. VP personally welcomes them! |
