Most Tamils in Sri Lanka came after 9th century.


did people lived in that area of the island allow tamil to come? is there any war between the people who lived in those area and the so called tamil came to that area?
if tamil came from other area is true what is the motivation for tamil to come to north and east of this island.?

Arjuna must be licking his lips. He can now find enough players to send to England if the seniors boycott due to IPL


I support Arjuna decision to ask the guys who are playing IPL to leave the tournament early.
let me explain..We all know from IPL the SLCB does not get any income at the same time the players who are involved in IPL are all contracted players and paid by the SL board.
The first preference should be playing for the official tours approved and supported by the board so that the board gets the income to pay for these contracted players

It is like you have a contract with your company and you working for someone on the side during office hours cos your getting a good payment. You can do it but only if your boss allows you or give permission..

I think both parties should sit and talk..if not the board has nothing to loose but to take the players who did well in the A tour to SA

But Higher ordination is most important.


There is no doubt that Higher Ordination is quite important. However, what is absolutely important is preserving the Dhamma.

Our monks did manage to preserve Dhamma and also managed to re-establish higher ordination within a matter of years.

Murali is not the Vital player in a T-20 match, to be frank..bowlers are not important in T-20's..If Chennai can hold on to Hussey/Hayden/Dhoni, they can eassily win matches.
did Raina played for Chennai too?

I'm not sure about that. From what I hear, the ICC gets part of the amount bid for each player and so does the home boards. This is unconfirmed. May be Semmozhi can shed more light on this.

I have read Arjuna's version on this and he clearly said the Board does not get any income..That is the reason England refused to send any of their players. Unless there is something new I am sure about it..

I feel if this is true then the players has a duty to compromise with the board..!!

Most of the Cricketing bodies have made sure this tournament does not clash cos they don't want to bang heads with IPL but Arjuna went the other way
some call it as a power thingy between Arjuna and Pawar.
