SLAF destroys Prabhakaran`s hideout

One of the main hideouts of LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran was destroyed in an aerial attack by Air Force fighter jets last morning.
Prabhakaran s secret hideout was in an isolated location in Vattakachchi. He frequenly visited the hideout with other high profile Tigers.
Air Force spokesman Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara said Air Force fighters launched precise air sorties yesterday at 6.35 a.m. targeting Prabhakaran`s secret hideout in Vattakachchi, two kilometres north of Iranamadu Tank. `Prabhakaran`s secret hideout was in an isolated location in Vattakachchi.
He frequenly visited the hideout with other high profile Tigers.
The location was highly fortified by the LTTE cadres,` Wing Commander Nanayakkara told the Daily News.
Defence sources said heavy traffic in enemy communication circuits was experienced immediately after the attack and subsequently faided leading to silence. Meanwhile, Air Force fighter jets pounded an LTTE arms and ammunition storage three kilometres north of Udayarkattukulam in Mullaitivu at around 6.30 a.m.
`The target was destroyed and the LTTE suffered heavy damages,` he added.
Wing Commander Nanayakkara said the air raids were launched following precise and accurate ground intelligence information and air surveillance.

I remember some LTTE guys live in the UK told us any war with LTTE will results Colombo out of the map in 20 mints.

Guess there are still plenty of hideouts left.
I would not be surprised if Velus last hideout is somewhere near a Norwegian Fjord, far above the Polar Circle. Time will tell. |

Exactly. We are not in a hurry to kill VP. The main idea is to get him running so that more and more terrorists are at risk trying to protect him.

What would this Traitorous UNP(Ranil Facttion) attitude do to the morale of our Soldier's ???

This is not the first time VP's hideout has been bombed and destroyed. The previous time it was bombed VP suffered serious spine injuries and had a leg amputated.!!
May be this time he had an arm and the other leg blown off!!
