EELAM is Sri Lanka. They never get it.
Yes. Eelam is Sri Lanka but Tamil Eelam means the Tamils' part of Eelam. If you want to call the rest of the island as the Sinhala Eelam, go ahead. We don't care. :)))

The politicising of religion and race would be detrimental in the long term to any race.
I think, GOSL completed this the day when they used Dalada maligawa paththrippuwa to give the PResident's speech.
Since then, they every time meet those monks for advice.
that is pollution. |

DVLADV,
the fact is majority of the sinhalese do not follow in the footsteps of JHU or other monks who make buddhism a business to their ends. and I was stating something true to all the religions and pointing to taking over of kovils by LTTE in western countries just to collect more money for their terrorist activities in SL.
I am not worried about Tamils politicising their own religion, it is up to them and it they who will be reaping the consequences, not us. so you may consider it or you may not, it is your own decision. |

It is part of the royal palace and used as a platform for the king to address his people, nothing new, built by the last king of kandy.
The last king of Sri lanka, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe (1797 - 1814) built the Pattirippuwa (the Octagon). Originally, the Pattirippuwa (octagon) was part of the royal palace. It was used by the king to address his follow countrymen. Today the Pattirippuwa has become a part of the temple and houses ancient textures written in ola leaves.

Gonix
Very unlikely. He is not worth a bullet. He should be allowed to die from his suffering. But I have a feeling he will have his dose of cyanide when it comes to the point of no return as his woman and children already vanished with the Eelam money to SA.He has a very little chance of surviving abroad, that his presence will risk all his family.Hence he has already reached point of no return to do or die...:-)
