I think capturing land shouldn t be the main goal of LTTE

If the matter could be settled amicably in this way I dont think GOSL would be unhappy about it. Then LTTE could at least convince the majority of the Population in the country and get some form of self rule to the north. If LTTE want to reside out side the country and do an occasional fishing boat ride and attack a navy or army post then GOSL can take appropriate action

More & More VOices are getting heard against the Policies of Indian GOvt against the Tamils.

THAnks to MOdayan MR , Tamilians are slowly heated up against Sorry lanka & are reaching a Boiling Point & rallying for tigers !

Expressing concern over the 'grave' situation in the Tamil areas of Sri Lanka, CPI on Friday demanded that the Indian Government step in to ensure humanitarian aid for civilians in the context of the undeclared full-scale war of the Sri Lankan army against LTTE.

Party National Secretary D Raja said the Centre should break its silence on the presence of Indian nationals, who are reportedly helping the Sri Lankan defence forces.

He said what was going on was a 'full-scale war' and the civilians were put to enormous difficulties with the Lankan Government preventing UN organisations and NGOs from reaching aid to the affected people. There was shortage of medicine and food to the people.

Referring to reports of two Indians injured in an LTTE raid on a Sri Lankan military base, Raja wanted to know whether they were military personnel or civilians and were they there on behalf of the Government.

The Congress-led UPA Government is maintaining a 'calculated silence' and should answer a number of questions, he said, asking 'Is it military assistance to Rajapakse government?'

Why is the government not coming clean on these issues, he asked.

Raja also told the Sri Lankan Government that only a political solution can last and not a military solution and efforts should be taken to resolve the ethnic question.

Referring to Sri Lankan Foreign Affairs Minister Rohitha Bogollagama's statement that the Katchathivu matter is settled, Raja demanded that the 1974 agreement should be reopened because the small piece of island off the Indian waters has become strategic.

The sudden make-believe realization that India had catapulted itself to the level of a colonial master intoxicated them and they treated Prabakaran with contempt after having made use of him. For that India paid the most humiliating price in front of the world when Prabakaran single handed defeated the third largest army in the world. Not satisfied with that, he went further and got the Indian Prime Minister killed. With all that India is still backing Prabakaran in the hope that one day in the future he will destabilize Sri Lanka and India will have another opportunity for another IPKF. India can live in eternal hope. We have no problems with that.

Mr. Narayanan should brace himself to the fact that our defence forces will soon disobey his orders and install Chinese 3D radar and dismantle the Indian radar. Without ordering us to buy Indian military hardware it may be an idea for India also to buy the superior Chinese 3D radar to defend herself not only against Pakistan but against China herself.

It was Mr. Narayanan who declared that Sri Lanka shall not buy any military equipment from Pakistan and from China. He would supply all what he thinks is necessary for us. This is laughable empty arrogance of a person who thinks that we will comply fearing another invasion. We know that India will never invade our country again. Apart from the fact that we can handle them ourselves Pakistan is just waiting for such an event to take place. While displaying such arrogance towards us the next moment Mr. Narayanan dances to the drum that Karunanidi is beating day and night by saying that Tamil Nadu fishermen have the right to fish in Sri Lankan waters on the grounds that the fishermen go where the fish goes. http://www.asiantribune.com/?q=node/13203

The Sinhala people have the human right to protect their religion- the Buddhism, and safe guard and protect the followers of the Buddha s teaching from being converted to other religions by offer of money and gifts, specially by the Christian Missionaries. The ancient archaeological sites of the Buddhist civilization should not be destroyed to build villages for Muslims and Tamils.

For sure LTTE is going to change the world. they have mastered the guerrilla war fare over the years, and once their organization is defeated, ex-militants will be hired by other guerrilla organizations all over.

Its time Tamil Nadu recognise Sinhala peoples political aspirations, give our self determination.

As it is now TN dont even let SL Tamils buy land there.
