I was aways on an errand, sorry for the delay.
So, do you agree the Sinhalese are reaping the consequences of politicizing religion and race?
The country is reaping because of the un reasonable demands the tamil leaders made at the time of the independance trying to maintain their priviledged status given by their political masters the british.
Do you agree, if the Sinhala leaders didn't use the Buddhist monks to come to power, the country might be competing with Singapore now?
Sinhalese always voted one party or another in elections, they didnt force their people with guns pointed at their heads.
Do you agree, if the Sinhala racist leaders didn't listen to the Buddhist monks in removing the minority clauses in the Solbury constitution, we may not have this civil war now?
Any constitution should give a fair place to the countrys majority, no body should get priviledged status, thats what tamil leaders tried to do, fortunately it failed.
Do you agree if the racist Sinhala leader didn't break the Banda - Selva pact to appease the Sinhala Buddhist monks we may not be killing each others now?
Did the tamil leaders helped bandaranayake to convince his vote base and give enough space. they tried to force his hand which ultimately lead to the failure of the fact. the way the tamil leaders tried to mislead the british at the time of the independance had led the bandaranayake's vote base to believe something sinister is going to happen, ultimately he had to make the sacrifice with his life.
The Sinhalese are reaping what they sowed. :))
Sinhalese are reaping due to some of the poor decisions made by its leaders. it is because of the failure of them to see the opportunistic policies of the tamil leaders to be in control of the citizens in the north all the time which has led to the current problems and this not only happened in the north, it has also happened in the south too. uprisings in 71 and 88-89 is testimony to that. they also failed to see the underhand role played by india to keep sri lanka in turmoil all the time. without indian help there would not have been any continued terrorism in the island. |
