250,000 strong forces badly need 5000-10000 additional forces to sustain

less than 25,000 in jaffna with around 5000 who can fight
another 40,000 in vanni operations with around 10,000 who can fight
Once Coolies sense the sure-death, they will plan only to escape , not to march forward
SLA heavily depends on SLAF, and once few figter comes down no Pilot will dare to fly again over vanni

Interesting developments likely if a simultaneous amphibious landings requiring diversion of LTTE resistance is undertaken at the same time? |
