Good opportunity for Bakamoona to hit on Dwaraka.

(September 07, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Sources close to the LTTE confirm that LTTE supremo Velupillai Pirabakaran s wife Mathivathani Pirabakaran and their two children have migrated to South Africa using the sea route. The couple s eldest daughter Dwaraka and the youngest son have joined the mother in the voyage. Their eldest son Charles Anthony is said to be remaining in Vanni and helping the father in the military operational matters.

It is also learnt Pirabakaran has resisted sending the family to a European country as he did in 1987 during Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) operations against the LTTE. He is said to be concerned that they may fall foul to the authorities due to undue publicity.

In 1987, Pirabakaran sent his wife and three children to Sweden and they remained there until the IPKF left the island.
