Sinhala people are the unlucky majority and they are discriminated, oppressed and subjugated by the lucky minority of tamils everyway.
Only disadvantage that SL - tamils have is Sri Lanka is not their own country. |

Pooneryn is also the buffer between Jaffna and Kilinochchi. It is the last remaining coastline and sea route to India for immediate logistical needs such as medicines, fuel etc. It is also the base from which the Jaffna insurgency is maintained. All will be lost if Pooneryn is lost.
If LTTE lose Pooneryn, getting supplies from india would be very difficult. escape routes for escaping LTTErs would also be affected in a major way. |

I'm guessing all the hardware from viduthaltivu was shifted here during the 'tactical withdrawal'.
We could probably treat nachi as the real viduthaltivu because they didn't want to face the SLA then but now they have no option other than to engage the SLA and DEFEND.
A good time to consume their resources. |

As that may be the ONLY escape route for Velu and it is being captured they will give their best fight to save it, I suppose.
So, SLDFs need to act accordingly. |
