Hilarious ! Why not Gotha put under jail for deserting army ?

Read a little more about the person before making accusations!
He served his time and left.He could have extended his period of service but he didn't and that does not mean he deserted.
The president offered him the job and he accepted it.
The boys who deserted have no option but to be court martialed and
that is the Military Law.It is in the hands of the court whether to pardon them or not.Laws are laws and you guys have a severe problem in abiding them.

Duleep Mendis is appointed to talk to the players again..They will be asked to take a short time away from IPL to play in England.

SL will play in a T-20 4 nation tournament in Canada in Oct/Nov

1. I'm not an expert on cricket like you . I just watch & enjoy.
(you displayed your expertise very loudly on the forum)

2. They live by cricket- which is not a game that pays like soccer . They have to make the most while they can.
3. They have signed contracts with IPL.
Now the cricket Admin is scheduling matches in total disregard to these. Which is not quite right.

Unlike you I dont have much knowledge about these (like about many other things) :)

I can say only this.
Its might be good if some of these guys retire now & let new guys like Mendis (oops!) and Prasad do their bit.

I'm sure the matter will be settled with minimum impact on the National Team.

No worries man!

MR's son..I thought he never came back to SL..may be i am wrong..never seen him in any Navy parades in SL..May be like his uncle took early retirement..It is unfair cos he was sent overlooking so many seniors and on tax payers money to UK...anyway I am not very good in Politics..lolz
