It is nothing but hypocritical for ZHTTP supporters to be pointing fingers at SLA when it comes to the treatment of deserters.

Guys ,
leave these poor village lads alone , they joined the army for one reason - the only jobs available , let them live to work for their loved ones - DO NOT SACRIFICE THEM FOR CORRUPTED POLITICAL GAINS :(

It is very simple..these Deserters just wanted a job and when they were put in the front line, they knew they made a wrong decision..They made a mistake like so many of us in choosing the wrong job..give them a chance let them GO..

These deserters may report back to duties because of fear. I don't think, they have any motivation to fight which will result in their demise.

So, authorities, out of compassion, need to think little bit how to use them.

IT is not easy to be heroes.

Plenty of non combat duties available in a fair sized army.

From peeling potatos to sentry duty in non combat areas.
General labourer in Maintenance - Orderlies-Messengers.

Anyway these guys are much luckier than LTTE deserters.
