Chinese investors have expressed a keen interest in investing in the tourist and gem mining industries in Sri Lanka. This was revealed when a visiting group of Chinese businessmen met President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday (04) at Temple Trees. Their visit is in response to an invitation extended by President Rajapaksa when he visited China recently. The group is led by Hongmin Zhang, Chairman of Huichen Investment Holdings Ltd.
