If guilty he should be punished,.....
The monk should be disrobed.
Who ever it is, should be punished serverly.
should be properly punished for the crime...
Should should should...indeed isn't this the very essence of the problem on the island - no one gets punished or held accountable like they 'should'. Especially true when it comes to Tamils as the very government that 'should' be meting out justice is the one behind the injustice.

| Some of the so called Buddhist priests are a shame ....they are there not to safeguard Buddhist values & Religion, but to destroy this great religion, Nobody is above the law, they should be dealt with quicker to show other crooks in Robes....recently about three months back there was news in USA that there had been an attack on a christian worship centre in S/Lanka with pictures of Buddhist Priest destroying this worship centre....some of these crooks in robes take Law into their hands and destroy the good name of Buddhism.... |

| Not a big deal. Someone did a crime and he will face the wrath of the law. |

This yellow peril should be hanged with the JHU members who are using the racism to get benefits from the MR government.
MR is doing this to get rid of JHU, in a similar way to the way he got rid of JVP. |

Guys
The Venerable Fidiot has been remanded -The normal course of the Law will follow.
All over the country (in urban area at least) places of worship of all religions are found close together- with no problem whatsoever.
A very ugly isolated incident by a few unruly idiots-they will end up in jail.
:)
BTW- There used to be a budhist temple in Naagadipa (Nainathivu?)
Is it still there -monk and all?
Just curiosity-nothing to do with this ugly incident. |

There should be an authority to maintain 'vinay' among the Buddhist
monks, and it is about time to clean up the 'Sasanaya' from these
despicable characters. Most of the monks should be disrobed and send to the front to remove mines.
These idiot monks should learn a lesson from Fr. Rayappu
and the clan, and stay in the back ground and get others to do your dirty work for you. Edited By - parakumB - 5 Sep 2008 16:14:22 GMT |

Revy,
don't jump to hasty conclusions, it is the people in the area that alerted the police and it is the police that made the arrests.
do you know many temples in the north and the east has been damaged, bulldozed by LTTE. did you acted in the same manner then. take a look at your conscience |
