Sri Lanka Army imprisons more than 100 deserters

The Army Courts Martial, following imposition of punishment on 106 convicted Army deserters handed them over to the Welikada Prisons Headquarters today for imprisonment, a Press Release issued by the Army Headquarters declared.
One more batch of 199 convicted Army deserters are also scheduled to be handed for imprisonment on Wednesday (3), upon completion of their legal proceedings, according to the Army Directorate of Legal Services.

All these dissertions when we are SEEMINGLY winning the war in leaps and bounds! WHY?

These are people who desserted the forces before 2004

By word of mouth, many Southeren poor villagers know what happens/happened to their loved ones who joined the GOSL forces.
Many of them are MIA, still many families don't know what happened to their loved ones?
War is for political survival and multiple commissions. |

Long tome ago Mohamed Ali denied to serve in the army and imprisoned!
Personal freedom, and they are disappointed with this useless war! GOSL is trying forceful enlisting!! |

Yes, I met lot's of them in Anuradhapura when I was capaigning for Mahinda in the NCP. They were supporting and campaigning for UNP and Janaka P.
There are no secrets in Sri Lanka.

So as they supported UNP they are court marshaled???
All other deserters campaigned for MR awarded and given office job??!?!?!!?!
