The Bishops of Jaffna and Mannar have said that a letter written to the UN Secretary General, Ban ki Moon by Fr.James Pathinanthan, the President, Justice and Peace Commission Wanni is not a communication of the Roman Catholic Church.
The Policy Research & Information of the Presidential Secretariat (PRIU) quoting the Minister of Disaster Management and Human Rights, Mahinda Samarasinghe says that the Bishops of Jaffna and Mannar have assured the minister that the communication was made without their sanction and appears to be the writer s personal perspective.
The minister was responding to a news report that appeared in BBC Sinhala.com with the heading, Catholic Church writes to Ban ki Moon
The two Bishops have also acknowledged the excellent co-operation extended to them by the Sri Lankan security forces and, in particular, the Security Forces Commanders serving in the Wanni, who are in regular contact with them and have often facilitated delivery of humanitarian assistance when requested by the Bishops , said PRIU quoting a press release from the Ministry of Disaster Management and Human Rights.

This is another pathetic tongue in cheek Catholic Church hidden agenda to Internationalise the eelam cause.
Is'nt this James Pathinathan of JPC/Wanni a member of the Catholic Church ??
What are the guidelines for the Clergy.
Demise and the corruption of the Catholic Church set in the 4th century A.D during the time of the Great Constantine.
Who, for political reasons blended the Nature Worshipping with the rising tide of the Jesus Christ believers.
Since then the Catholic Church tasting the seat of power & totally lost sight of their Master's Teachings.
Such was the greed that set in within the Catholic Church that we find it fragmented today.
since then, Catholic Church has been wheeler dealing with power/corruption/politics, in Paedeophile activities by her Clergy, Terrorism Division of Regions & Countries.
RChina does not need a repettion of what took place in the Soviet Union.
In Sri Lanka, the hidden involment in Wanni terrorism is now being disaasociated with a statement of non involment of the Catholic Church in trying to close the 'gate after the horse has bolted'.
If Jesus Christ were to revisit us today, The Catholic Church will be the first to Crucufy Him with accusation saying he is a false prophet.
This is the staus of the catholic Church of today worldwide. Dabling in any and everything other than adhereing to their master's teaching. |

Master's teaching was very close to Buddhism.
It was the Roman KIngodm which did not like him and wanted to Destroy him and his teachings.
Later some of the Roman Leaders found that underground movement would be beneficial for them as a political movement.
It is amazing that never disappeared and, BY THAT WAY, ROMAN KINGDOM SPREAD ALL OVER THE WORLD and FINALLY APPOINTED LOCAL ROMAN LEADERs every where in the world in the name of CATHOLIC - BISHOPs. |

| Only if catholic and other Christean clergy in Sri Lanka and all over the world is as Religious, caring , honest, piece loving with lofty high devout Buddhist ethical standards with vow of poverty carnal thoughts and acts and struggling daily to eke out a living while preforming religious duties and services at the same time keeping away from western comforts and trappings in every corner of Sri Lanka is a example for the worlds other religions and to there clergy. Late most high venerable Buddarikitha and Ven: Somarama is not included in this and some other names of Sri Lankan Ven Buddhist Monks are omitted to make the posting short because of the long list of names. |

Please check the facts. It is not the Catholic Churchat fault here. It is the BBC-Sinhala cat jumping out of the sack.
BBC knew who wrote the letter and in which capacity, but chose to put a totally false head line. Knowing Catholic Church's sentiments, BBC tried to 'supply' a useful news item for LTTE to spread through their network. Apart from the heading, article says nothing representing the church. This is either a malicious attempt to disrepute the Catholic Church in Sri Lanka or a tritor's wishful thinking.
Interestingly though, I havn't seen any statement from the Church disowning the letter. |
