A solution in Sri Lanka actually has to be a form of power sharing between two nations.
One nation is made up of all the Indian slaves brought by dutch for Tobacco farming, kallathonis and boat people who landed in the Sri Lankan North.
In a way you represent an important Sri Lankan archetype - the pure racist.
You represent the thinking that made early Sinhala govts deal with the Tamil people with brutality, with contempt.
You represent the thinking that gave rise to Tamil hatred of Sinhala people and Sri Lanka.
You represent the grave danger that faces Sri Lanka in trying to translate military progress into building harmony and amity between peoples.
What is the AnuD factor of the GOSL? There can be mathematical calculations done based upon the precise and predictable racism that you represent.
So even in your death, AnuD, you will represent something, the passing of an era of stubborn provincial ignorance. But then again how many have lives that carry so much symbolic import? Congratulations AnuD! You are a living sign. |

i am very grateful that in india, five men shared a woman & there was a book released to commemorate that incident!
after all.. it is MAHAAAAA BHARAT!! one of the greatest epics.. dont you think?

The Mahabharat has nothing to do with the Tamils and that is the story of North Indians. That is the North Indian Epic. The Sinhalese are hell bent onto 'prove' that they have North Indian connection.
The Tamils have five ancient epics, and they don't have to borrow anything from outsiders.

After almost 100 years of undermining Sri Lanka, tamils continued 30 years of extreme destruction and violence.
Yet, another Indian Tamil Narayanan and other Tribalist - Tamils accuse the govt saying GOVT did not reach to tamils.
the right response for that was given by John F Kennedy long ago.
'Don't ask what your country has done to you. Ask what you have Done to your country'.
Of course Tamils have done nothing to Sri Lanka. they know immigrants and foreigners in Sri Lanka. So, they don't feel part of Sri Lanka.
they really like Sri Lanka in comparison to TamilNadu. So, some how they want part of Sri Lanka which which will make another wrecked land like Tamilnadu if they ever have it.
Anyway, Our leaders need to learn what to talk.

Do you know federal system?
Why big countries have that and why smaller countries do not have?
Do you know why Kosovo seperated from Serbia ? becasue of lack of Federal system !
The land mass is immaterial ! did you see how even Small Georgian towns are asking for seperate country & are being granted the same ? |

TN is a quasi Country & India is similar to USSR.

India wanted to join with TN to get developed.
Simultaneously eelma achieved.

Instead you beat around the bush.
Tamils don't feel part of Sri Lanka because they know they are INdian - immigrants.
I am out of Sri Lanka for so long yet feel attached becuse I know Sri Lanka is my country.
Tamils can not feel the same way in Sri Lanka because everything they do is from TamilNadu.
what do Sri Lankan tamils have unique to them in Sri Lanka. NOTHING. |
