COLOMBO (Reuters) - Sri Lanka left-arm fast bowler Chaminda Vaas took his 400th wicket in one-day internationals when he dismissed Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh for a duck in the fourth one-day international on Wednesday.
Well done VASSY...But we are 106 for 4..and the Top 4 are gone..
Bad show..Mahela just got run out..
Vaas had Yuvraj caught by Mahela Jayawardene at short mid wicket in his seventh over of the innings. He lifted his head to the skies and raised his arms as his team mates rushed to congratulate him.
Vaas, playing in his 322nd ODI became the fourth bowler in one-day international history to achieve the feat, after Pakistan fast bowlers Wasim Akram (502 wickets) and Waqar Younis (416) and Sri Lanka spinner Muttiah Muralitharan (478). |

Jayawewa Vaas.....however Lankan cricket board was not paying you the first class cricketer's salary this year due to political interference (recently stated in daily Mirror)...no issues Vaas you are a great hero in Lankan cricket history... keep the good work going |

Well SLDF will be pleased if tigers come out of the bunkers to launch attacks. Anyway time will answer this.
govt has to come up with a credible solution
Bring tigers to theirknees. Destroy their war machine and capability of waging a conventional war. Then go for political solution.
IC wont intervene now but when things change out of hands from SL they may put pressure and govt also wont have other altenative but to go for talks when ground situation changes in favour of ltte
IC can say a lot of things, but given the current HANDYWORK of LTTE no one will be in a position to FORCE GOSL to go for talks. Don't forget that LTTE rejected talks a coulple of months ago.
Ground situation changes for LTTE. Well you can have hopes, we don't mind that.

With the influx of civillians from KIli and Mulathivu a lot of things can change. We already saw how AI behaved a few weeks ago. It won't be long until we hear something else from UN.
not only diaspora it gives morale boost to tamils in sl and ltte carders as well
Chances are low, they can cheer but when they hear the news of the fall of next garrison things will change.
Remember that TAF has to be lucky all the time. One failed mission will be deadly thinking about the fading morale and support.
Anyway you guys can have hope. We don't object that. |
